El Morro Restaurant in Geneva

Pernil and Mofongo was great. Arroz con gandules good but the beans were so so. The Chicken Kebaab was flavorless....We asked for Tostones and Sweet Plaintains with our order and never got them. Service was so slow so we just decided to not fuss about it. We caught them on a bad day maybe. I'm Puerto Rican but waiters should at least be able to speak English to be able to communicate with customers. Not everyone that goes there can speak the language and their orders were getting messed up due to language barrier.....

Seriously, I ate at El Morro last week for the first time, I've been back FOUR TIMES SINCE!!!The Cubano sandwich is amazing, the Pulled Pork is the BEST I've ever had!!! Good down home rice and beans, vegetable stew....... Very small place, very comfortable, Rafael the owner/chef is great, Monica the waitress is very sweet, very attentive......... do yourself a favor, stop in and get yourself some great Latin food and drink!!!

Always a delightful and delicious experience at El Morro. Reasonable prices, but outrageous flavors.

The owner was very friendly and the food was delicious. His signature pulled pork dish with rice and beans is a very generous portion. I ordered a side of tostones which were huge and yummy. I had to take a to go box. I didn't want to leave anything! The restaurant isn't fancy, it's comfortable and the owner comes out to the table to chat. He learned everything from his mom. If I'm ever out this way again El Moro will definitely be a pit stop.

Took forever to get our food! People that came in after got there's before us! Food was not that great and way to expensive.

It was alright. Food was a little bit too salty and the meat was over done. Service is great and a lot of menu options. I might have to try it again.

Really really really good. It doesn’t look fancy and it’s a mix of restaurant, Karaoke, and Bar, but the food was five stars. And the owner and waiters were super friendly. Great spot!

I had the opportunity to visit Geneva, NY from Puerto Rico. during my trip I was taken to El Morro which at the beginning did not want to go as I have puertorrican food every day. I have to admit that the best pork and rice (puertorrican staple dish) I have ever had was here. Not only was the food great but the service provided by the owner and staff were out of this world. Look forward to coming back to Geneva just to have a great meal at El Morro

Delicious!! Cozy little place. Server recommended something under "House Specials" their version of carnitas, which comes with beans, salad & rice. It was absolutely delicious!! My boyfriend order the Steak w/ Shrimp, which was good but not as good as my dish.

My husband and I were visiting the area (Seneca lake) and had lunch here. Delicious is an understatement for how good the food was. Every time we eat out at a restaurant my husband always says “these pork chops don’t Taste as good as that place” lol the people who work there are also very nice.

THE best Cuban I've ever eaten. This was my first time eating Mofongo. I can only hope that every Mofongo will be as good as this one.The staff was helpful and patient...we will definitely return!

This was the best restaurant experience of my life! The chef came out to personally ask me if he could knock my dish up a notch and he didn’t disappoint. The salmon was cooked flawlessly. The mix of flavors and ambiance transported me to a tropical paradise. The establishment deserves every ounce of success and I can not recommend it more highly!

Don't go to a tourist trap chain restaurant. Support this local restaurant that does a free Thanksgiving dinner every year. My family happened to be traveling toward Rochester, on Thanksgiving Day, and nothing was open.The children were exhausted, so I sent my husband in to get anything hot and ready to take to our hotel room. El Morro had just finished their free dinner, but happily sent us with 4 full to go boxes of left overs. They refused any money. We sat in our hotel room eating home cooking and savouring the true meaning of giving thanks. If we are ever back in the area, we will certainly stop in and enjoy a meal inside the restaurant.

It's not the best Hispanic food I've had much better but its good for the only location I guess

Staying at the Hampton across the street, this place was a welcome oasis in a desert of restaurants that aren't open on Tuesday in Geneva. The food was fantastic, even better than it looks in the picture.

Great place! I had there lunch special with fried plantains it was great. I was a bit worried if it was going to be flavorful. But after tasting it that fear went away. Go Get You Some!!

Authentic PR food in the middle of upstate NY! The jabirrito was amazing! They have happy hour specials as well. Place is small with some outdoor seating.
